The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi Province and the hilly regions of the country today, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. The rest of the country is likely to see mainly fair to partly cloudy conditions.

There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi Province and at one or two places in Madhesh Province and the hilly regions of the country. Light rainfall or snowfall is also expected at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, partly cloudy conditions will persist in Koshi and the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will experience mainly fair weather. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in Koshi and at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Light snowfall or rainfall may also occur at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the same provinces.

The Division said monsoon winds are currently affecting most parts of Koshi Province, while the rest of the country is under the influence of westerly and local winds.
