On Friday, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi Province and the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will see mainly fair to partly cloudy skies, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some places of Koshi Province, a few places in the hilly regions, and one or two places elsewhere in the country. There are chances of light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.

Tonight, partly cloudy conditions will persist in Koshi and hilly regions, with mainly fair to partly cloudy weather elsewhere. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in a few places of Koshi Province and one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Light snowfall is also likely at one or two locations in the high hills and mountains.

Meteorologists said Friday’s weather pattern is influenced by westerly and local winds in the western and central parts of the country, while monsoon winds are affecting most areas of Koshi Province.
