The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as across the country’s hilly regions this afternoon, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi Province, and at one or two places in the rest of the country. A few places in Koshi Province may experience heavy rainfall.

Light snowfall or rain is also likely in some high-hill and mountainous areas.

Tonight, partly to generally cloudy conditions will persist in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and hilly areas of the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in a few places of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, and at one or two places elsewhere. Heavy rain may occur in one or two places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces.

The current weather pattern is influenced by a combination of westerly and local winds in western and central Nepal, while monsoon winds are affecting most parts of Koshi Province.
