The weather is expected to remain generally fair to partly cloudy across most parts of the country this afternoon, with partly to generally cloudy conditions prevailing in Koshi and Gandaki provinces and other hilly areas.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in a few places of Koshi Province, some places of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and one or two places in the rest of the country. One or two places in Koshi and Gandaki provinces may experience heavy rainfall.

Light rain or snowfall is also likely in some high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and at one or two locations in other high-altitude regions.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with other hilly regions, will witness partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will see mainly fair to partly cloudy weather.

The division has forecast light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at a few locations in Koshi Province, and at some locations in Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. One or two places in Koshi and Gandaki may again receive heavy rainfall tonight.

Similarly, light rain or snowfall is likely in some high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi Province, and at one or two places in other mountainous regions.

The current weather pattern is influenced by westerly and local winds, with partial moisture inflow from the Bay of Bengal, the division said.
