The Meteorological Forecasting Division said that local winds are currently affecting the country, bringing partly to generally cloudy conditions over the hilly regions, while the rest of the country is likely to witness mainly fair weather.

During the day, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi Province and the hilly regions of other provinces. A few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas may also experience light rain and snowfall.

Tonight, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected to persist over the hilly regions of Koshi and other provinces, while the remaining areas will have mainly clear weather. Light rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light rain and snowfall may also occur at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
