The last Day of Indra Jatra was celebrated with women pulling the chariots of Ganesh, Bhairav, and Kumari in Kathmandu Valley on Saturday.
The procession was accompanied by Lakhey, Pulukisi, Sawa Bhakku. The festival, observed primarily in Kathmandu Valley, Dhulikhel, and Dolakha, officially began with the installation of the sacred wooden pole, known as lingo, at Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square on Sunday morning.
The festival featured various ceremonies, including the chariot processions of Ganesh, Bhairav, and Kumari, the living goddess—one of the festival's main attractions.
Here are some glimpses of the celebration from the lenses of Post's photojournalist Safal Prakash Shrestha.
