Tribhuvan University holds 49th convocation ceremony

The university claimed it has set a world record for the highest number of graduates.

New graduates fill the grandstands and ground of the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu during the 49th convocation function of Tribhuvan University on Monday. With an estimated over 26,000 participants including graduates and their guardians present at the function, officials of the country’s oldest and largest university claim the world record for the highest physical participation for a convocation. The verification process by the Guinness World Records is reportedly underway. A total of 73,749 graduates were eligible to participate in the function. Deepak KC/TKP
