Speaking to media persons before boarding a flight to Thai Capital Bangkok at Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday, Oli accused Sher Bahadur Deuba led government of trying to prolong its tenure by delaying the fixing of temporary provincial capital and appointment of provincial chiefs. He drew the government's attention to immediately conclude the twin tasks.
"It is the duty of the government to name provincial capital and appoint provincial chiefs. But it is delaying these tasks to prolong its stay at the helm," Oli said.
Oli also took exception to the Election Commission (EC)’s move to delay in announcing the result of the recently held elections under proportional representative category and providing 15 days time to register parties for National Assembly. He satirized EC and Dr Govinda by saying that EC should seek answers from Dr KC in case of any legal hurdles. "EC can ask Govinda KC if it has been facing any legal hurdles. KC is giving instant answers to many things these days," he said.
In a different context, the UML chairman claimed that conspiracies are rife to spoil the unification between CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre). He went on to say that the unification process will come to a conclusion very soon.
