A complaint filed at Legislature-Parliament seeking impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Ananda Mohan Bhattarai has been cancelled.

Parliament's Impeachment Recommendation Committee on Tuesday decided to dismiss the complaint citing lack of enough evidence to support the claim as per constitution and prevalent laws.

According to the committee member and CPN-UML lawmaker Rewati Raman Bhandari, a meeting of the committee held today decided not to register such groundless complaints in future.

Lawmakers Hari Charan Sah, Ram Kumar Rai and Rukmini Chaudhary had filed the complaint seeking impeachment of SC justice Bhattarai.
