The State Affairs Committee of the Legislature-Parliament on Friday decided to seek clarifications from the Home Minister, the Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development and the Minister for General Administration regarding the mass transfer of chief district officers (CDO) across the country.

A meeting of the committee today made a decision to this effect following complaint by the General Administration Minister Rekha Sharma that the Home Ministry did not take any permission from her Ministry to transfer CDOs.

"The Home Ministry did not take permission from the Ministry of General Administration to make the transfer. So investigation into the case is going on," said Sharma.

At the meeting, Sharma informed that her Ministry had stalled the applications submitted to her Ministry seeking transfer of other 21 under secretaries and 22 section officers across the country, citing various reasons. RSS
