The knock out tournament, to be played at the TU Stadium, will include 16 teams including Nepal Armed Police Force Club, Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Club, informed the organisers during a press conference on Thursday.
Other teams from the Kathmandu Valley include Ruslan KCTC, Great Himalayan Cricket Academy, Himalayan Cricket Academy, G-Force Cricket Academy, EC Fighter, SS Events, Canon Cricket Club, Lord Buddha Cricket Club, Pulchowk Engineering College.
Birat Cricket Society of Biratnagar, New Horizon of Butwal, Nachhetra Cricket Club of Nuwakot and Makawanpur Cricket Club of Hetauda are the district teams. The organisers have allowed all the clubs to include national team cricketers.
The winners will collect a cash prize of Rs 200,000 and runners-up will take home
Rs 100,000.
Prizes are also set aside for the player-of-the-tournament, best bowler and batsman, fastest fifty, century maker, hat-trick takers, outstanding catch, five-wicket haul and best catch by the audience. To make the tournament more engaging, the organisers will also include cricket challenge game for the spectators.
