Lamgade threw 43.90 metres to break the previous record of 43.70 set by Sima Kumari Tharu during the selection event for last year’s Thailand Open. Tharu finished second with 40.24m.
Yam Sajan Sunar of Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club won the 100m sprint in 10.6 seconds ahead of clubmate Ashish Chaudhary and Min Bahadur Chaudhary of TAC. Saraswoti Chaudhary of APF won the women’s 100m title in 12.5 seconds.
Armyman Hari Kumar Rimal won the men’s 5,000m with a timing of 15:15.93 minutes, while Bishwo Rupa Budha claimed the women’s 5,000m in 18:04.9. In the men’s javelin throw Dhirendra Jung Shah of TAC finished first with a throw of 58.85m. Prem Singh of TAC and Shila Chaudhary of APF secured top spots in the men’s and women’s high jumps.
Som Kuma of TAC won the men’s 800m race in 1:56 minutes while Saraswoti Bhattarai of TAC won the women’s event in 2:15.5.
