At least two people died in a jeep accident in Nisdi Rural Municipality of Palpa district late on Wednesday. Thirteen others were injured.
Two boys, aged 13 and seven, were killed after the vehicle’s engine stopped working while on a climb and the brakes failed, causing the jeep to fall off the road in Matiyardanda of Nisdi-4, said Suganda Shrestha, information officer at the district police office.
The injured are being treated at the Bharatpur-based Chitwan Medical College and Madhyabindu District Hospital in Nawalparasi East. They are all in normal condition, police said.
