Two teenagers drown in Babai river

Two teenagers died after being swept away while swimming in the Babai river near Purandhara waterfall in Babai Rural Municipality-5, Dang, on Monday.
According to Superintendent of Police Arjun Prasad Timilsina, the victims have been identified as 17-year-old Bidhan KC of Jhumre, Tulsipur-7, and 18-year-old Kushal Budha Magar of Tulsipur-5.
The boys had reportedly entered the river along with a third friend. While one of them managed to swim to safety, Bidhan and Kushal were carried away by the current.
Their bodies were later recovered approximately 50 metres downstream with the help of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and local residents.
Police are investigating for details.
