A child died after consuming poisonous mushrooms in Banglachuli Rural Municipality on Wednesday. Her parents have been taken ill.
The 11-year-old had fallen sick after consuming the toxic fungi on Tuesday. She was rushed to the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, Ghorahi for preliminary treatment, the district police office said.
She was then taken to Butwal for further treatment where she breathed her last.
The girl’s mother Ishwari Sunar, and father Ajay Sunar are undergoing treatment at the Ghorahi-based hospital.
