Bagmati Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama will undergo a floor test at the provincial assembly on Tuesday.

The chief minister has requested the provincial assembly secretariat to make arrangements for seeking a vote of confidence as per Article 168 (4) of the constitution.

According to the secretariat, a meeting has been called for 1pm on Tuesday.

Nepali Congress provincial assembly leader Lama was appointed Bagmati chief minister on July 23. Province Head Yadav Chandra Sharma appointed Lama after he staked a claim for the position before the province head with the signatures of 64 lawmakers.

Lama has formed a 10-member Cabinet.

The chief minister will secure a vote of confidence from the provincial assembly unless there is a dramatic development in the current political equation.
