Man died in elephant attack in Bara

A 63-year-old man was killed in an elephant attack in Kolhabi Municipality-2, Bara, on Monday. The deceased, identified as Hasta Bahadur Thokar, was attacked by the elephant while collecting grass in the forest, according to Prakash Sapkota, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Bara.
Thokar had gone to the forest early in the morning, but when he did not return home by late afternoon, his family and villagers began searching for him. They discovered his lifeless body in the forest and informed the police.
The body has been sent to the Provincial Hospital in Kalaiya for post-mortem. Just days earlier, another elephant was found dead in the same municipality.
