The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Koshi Province, is set to organise an agriculture expo from September 12 to 15 in Katahari, Morang.

The agriculture expo formerly confined to Kathmandu and Chitwan, is being organised in Koshi Province for the first time, said Rajendra Raut, FNCCI president of Koshi chapter.

He stated that he has intensified discussions with various stakeholders including Suryodaya Municipality of Ilam, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Birtamod for the preparation of the expo.

According to Raut, the event will be organised in collaboration with the Koshi Government, the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Government of Nepal, Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation and Nepal Agricultural Market Development Programme (SAHAJ) and Katahari Rural Municipality

The expo will showcase the latest agricultural technologies, products of agribusiness, livestock feed, veterinary and other items, panel discussions with agricultural experts and we-to-we discussions. Agriculture experts from Bihar, India are also scheduled to share their experiences in the programme, Raut said.
