Congress’ Limbu secures HoR seat from Morang-1
Limbu defeated his closest competitor Ghanshyam Khatiwada of the CPN-UML by a margin of 430 votes.

Nepali Congress candidate Dig Bahadur Limbu has secured his House of Representatives seat from Morang-1.
As per the final results made public on Saturday, Limbu defeated his closest competitor Ghanshyam Khatiwada of the CPN-UML by a margin of 430 votes.
Limbu got 27,297 votes while Khatiwada bagged 26,867 votes.
Limbu started his political journey by being involved in the Nepal Students Union, the student wing of the Nepali Congress.
He received the party’s membership in 2042 BS.
Limbu worked as Morang District President of Nepali Congress (Democratic) in 2062 BS after the party split. He then became District Chairman for the second consecutive term since 2072 BS after the unification of the party. Limbu was elected as a Constituent Assembly member in 2070 BS.
