Three girls were found dead hanging from a tree in Pathamari, Kachankawal Rural Municipality-5, Jhapa, on Sunday morning.

The bodies of two 16-year-olds and that of a 17-year-old were discovered hanging from a Jujube tree in Sunkoshi tea garden near Bellegaun at around 7am, said District Police Office, Jhapa.

All three girls were tea plantation workers in the same tea garden. The trio had left their home on Saturday afternoon together to go for a walk, according to family sources.
