Nepali Embassy to provide mobile consular services in Penang on June 7–8
The embassy will offer passport renewal and labour-related services for Nepali workers in Malaysia’s Penang region.

The Embassy of Nepal in Kuala Lumpur has announced a mobile consular service to be held in Penang, Malaysia, on June 7 and 8, targeting Nepali migrant workers in the region.
According to the embassy, the two-day camp will provide passport renewal, passport collection, and labour-related grievance handling services. “The mobile camp is being organised to assist Nepali workers residing in and around Penang, which is approximately 350 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur,” read the embassy’s statement.
The service will be held at Sunshine Square, Level 4 Banquet Hall, Lot 27 Jalan Mayang Pasir, Bandar Bayan Baru, 11950 Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang. On June 7, services will be available from 8am to 5pm, and on June 8, from 8am to 1pm.
For passport renewals, applicants with valid old passports (less than 18 months from expiry) will need to pay a fee of RM240, while those applying due to lost, damaged, or expired passports must pay RM360. Required documents include a completed online application form, a clear copy of the Nepali citizenship certificate, and a copy of the old passport.
In its notice, the embassy has urged applicants to complete the passport application form in advance via https://emrtds.nepalpassport.gov.np.
The embassy stated that labour-related grievances can also be submitted during the camp.
