Police have arrested businessman Shanker Agrawal in connection with a banking offence case.
Agrawal, who had been absconding in the case, was taken into custody, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Anup Shumsher Rana, spokesperson for the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.
Rana said preparations were underway to produce Agrawal before the court on Wednesday. Police said Agrawal was arrested after being linked to a banking offence case in which Deepak Bhatta is also named as a defendant. Bhatta, along with Sulav Agrawal, son of Shanker Agrawal, is currently in judicial custody in a money laundering case.
