The government has advised Nepalis in Israel and Iran to remain indoors and strictly follow security instructions given by local authorities amid the evolving security situation in the Middle East.
Issuing an advisory on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said that it has been closely monitoring the evolving situation in the Middle East and urged Nepalis in the region to take precautions.
“Remain indoors as much as possible, stay vigilant, exercise due caution, and maintain regular contact with the Nepali community in your respective locations; refrain from travelling without prior authorisation from the relevant authorities of Israel and Iran,” MoFA said in the advisory.
It also asked the Nepalis in there to maintain regular communication with the ministry in Kathmandu, the Embassy of Nepal in Tel Aviv, and the Embassy of Nepal in Doha.
Nepalis planning to travel to Israel or Iran have been strongly advised to postpone their visits until the security situation in both countries stabilises.
