One injured in shooting at Bhairahawa hotel

A security guard was injured in a shooting at Hotel Nirvana in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi, on Monday night, police said.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Karki, the guard was shot at following an altercation between two groups. Police who arrived at the scene did not find any spent cartridges.
The injured guard, 27-year-old Min Bahadur Pariyar from ward 5 of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City, was shot in the thigh. He was treated at Bhim Hospital and has since been discharged.
Police said the incident began with a dispute outside the hotel. When one group tried to enter the premises, Pariyar attempted to stop them. Authorities have increased security and are investigating to identify the shooter.
