Bajhang
Two people have died from electrocution in Bajhang district within a span of three days, police confirmed.
The victims have been identified as 13-year-old Suresh Agri of Mashta Rural Municipality-5, Kinada, and 20-year-old Sabitra Shah of Chhabis Pathibhera Rural Municipality-4.
According to locals, Agri was herding cattle on Monday when he accidentally touched a live wire that had fallen across the road. He died on the spot.
Ward chair Sudhan Kathayat said the wire had been intact until Sunday evening but was dragged down onto the road by strong winds during the night.
Earlier on Saturday, Shah was electrocuted while fetching water. She came into contact with another live wire that had collapsed along the path, police said.
