Man dies from electrocution during repair work in Gulmi

A 40-year-old man died from electrocution while repairing an electric pole in Dhurkot Rural Municipality-7, Bagla Dwaneta, of Gulmi district on Friday.
According to DSP Ganga Bahadur Saru, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Gulmi, the deceased has been identified as local resident Jhabindra Ghimire.
Ghimire was reportedly carrying out maintenance work by climbing an iron utility pole connected to a high-tension power line when he suffered a fatal electric shock.
He was rushed to Gulmi Hospital for treatment, but was declared dead by the attending doctor, police confirmed.
A police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Deepak Shah from the Marbung police post was deployed to the incident site for investigation.
