CPN (Maoist Centre) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been discharged from the hospital after sustaining a minor injury from a fall on Tuesday night.
According to his daughter Ganga, former prime minister Dahal slipped in the bathroom and suffered a minor external injury to his forehead. He was admitted to Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur around midnight for treatment and observation.
Hospital sources said Dahal had three stitches on his head and underwent a CT scan, which showed no internal complications. He was initially kept in the emergency ward and later shifted to a regular ward for observation.
“He is in normal condition now. He said he would go home in the morning, but we expect him to be discharged by afternoon,” a hospital source had said earlier in the day.
Later on Wednesday morning, Ganga Dahal confirmed on Facebook that her father had been discharged and had returned home. “He has resumed his regular activities,” she said, thanking those who expressed concern over his health.
