A man was struck dead by lightning in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-8, Khotang, on Thursday afternoon.
Lila Chauhan, ward chair of Rupakot Majhuwagadhi-8, confirmed that 55-year-old Ganga Prasad Dhakal of Buwaulung Nastum was struck by lightning at around 1 pm while working in a nearby field. The victim died on the spot.
Inspector Mohan Pokharel, spokesperson for the Khotang District Police Office, informed us that detailed information would be available once the police complete the investigation.
