Former crown prince Paras Shah undergoes angioplasty after heart attack
Shah has been admitted to Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu.

Former crown prince Paras Shah has been admitted to Norvic International Hospital, in Thapathali, Kathmandu after experiencing chest discomfort on Sunday evening.
Doctors confirmed that Shah suffered a heart attack, following which he underwent an angioplasty procedure the same night, according to a doctor at the hospital.
Shah’s condition is currently stable, hospital officials told the Post.
Shah has a history of heart-related complications. In September 2023, he was hospitalised at HAMS Hospital in Mandikhatar due to a heart attack. Earlier in 2019, Shah underwent treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali following a heart attack. In 2015, an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, a special device powered by a battery that helps treat irregular heartbeats called arrhythmias, was successfully placed in his heart.
He also survived a massive cardiac arrest in 2013 while he was in Bangkok. Earlier, in September 2007, he had undergone an angioplasty at Norvic Hospital following a mild heart attack.
