Former crown prince Paras Shah suffers heart attack
Former crown prince Paras Shah has been admitted to Norvic Hospital in Thapathali after he suffered a heart attack at 4:15 pm on Monday. He survived a massive cardiac arrest in 2013 while he was in Bangkok. A team of cardiologists led by Dr Yadav Bhatta has been attending on Shah.
Earlier in 2015, an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD), a special device powered by battery that helps treat irregular heartbeats called arrhythmias, was successfully placed in his heart.
In September 2007, he had undergone an angioplasty operation in Kathmandu's Norvic hospital after suffering a mild heart attack.
Shah, who as crown prince was unpopular for his undisciplined lifestyle, had returned to Nepal 2015 after living out of country including in Bangkok for some time.
