Former Crown Prince Paras Shah admitted to hospital
Doctors attending to Shah keep him under 24-hour observation over his medical history.Post Report
Former Crown Prince Paras Shah has been admitted to HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu.
The former royal was admitted to the Mandikhatar-based hospital on Friday after complaints of discomfort in his heart.
Hospital Director Dr Jyotindra Sharma said Shah has no major complications, adding doctors decided to keep him under 24-hour observation.
Earlier in 2019, Shah underwent treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali following a heart attack. In 2015, an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, a special device powered by a battery that helps treat irregular heartbeats called arrhythmias, was successfully placed in his heart.
He also survived a major cardiac arrest in 2013 while he was in Bangkok.
In September 2007, he had undergone an angioplasty operation in Kathmandu’s Norvic Hospital after suffering a mild heart attack.
Meanwhile, former King Gyanendra Shah, former Queen Komal Shah and former Crown Princess Himani Shah reached the hospital to take stock of his health condition.
