A woman was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-11, Thanabaryang, on Saturday.
When a truck travelling from Hetauda to Chitwan collided with an oncoming auto-rickshaw 35-year-old Puja Bamjan of Manahari Rural Municipality-6, Khairghari, who was inside the auto-rickshaw, got critically injured and later succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment in Churehill Hospital, the police said.
The accident also left the auto-rickshaw driver, Raju Thing of Basghari, Hetauda-19, and the deceased’s 11-year-old son, Amrit Ghising, injured. They are currently receiving medical treatment in Hetauda.
Police have taken the truck and its driver, Kanchha Rai, into custody for further investigation.
