President Ramchandra Paudel is visiting France, Germany and Italy from November 8-17. This is his first official visit after assuming the top office in March. A Cabinet meeting on Thursday approved the visit, officials said.

He will attend the Paris Peace Forum 2023 to be held in Paris on November 10 and 11. President Paudel will attend the function related to climate change, Suresh Chalise, the principal secretary of the President, told the Post. “Besides attending the forum, he will meet several visiting dignitaries there and will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.”

After completing his engagements in Paris, the President will leave for Germany where he will hold talks with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

In Italy too, the President will meet with his counterpart, Sergio Mattarella.

“We have yet to finalise other details of his programme,” said Chalise.
