Kathmandu

The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) sent a revised list with reduced prices for petrol and diesel.

According to the Nepal Oil Corporation, as per the price list sent by the IOC on Saturday, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs1.74 and diesel by Rs6.82.

The IOC, last fortnight, had sent a reduced price list of petrol and diesel. The price of petrol was reduced by 86 paisa per litre and diesel by Rs1.50 per litre.

The IOC reviews export prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene every fortnight, and of other products such as aviation fuel and cooking gas on a monthly basis.

Despite reduced fuel costs, the oil monopoly has kept prices unchanged stating the outstanding dues it has to pay to the IOC.

The NOC currently sells petrol at Rs 178 per litre and diesel at Rs 175 per litre.
