The Gandaki provincial government has reduced the number of provincial ministries to seven from the existing 12.
The government decided to reduce the number of ministries following discussions with the top leaders of the ruling alliance.
The new ministries are the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ministry for Internal Affairs and Law, Ministry for Physical Infrastructure Development, Ministry for Social Development and Health, Ministry for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment and Ministry for Agriculture and Water Resources.
