Mahesh Swar and Shishir Pachhai have been appointed chief executive officers of Kantipur Publications Limited and Kantipur Television Network Limited, respectively.

Kailash Sirohiya, chairman and managing director of the Kantipur Media Group, announced the appointments of Swar and Pachhai to the new posts on Monday.

Both the newly-appointed chief executive officers assumed office on Monday.

Sirohiya in a brief statement wished success to both of them.

After his appointment, Swar said he would work in the larger interest of the company.

Pachhai said that he has taken the new responsibility as a challenge and will devote himself to overall development of the organisation.

Swar holds a master’s degree in management and has 20 years of experience in the field of marketing. He previously worked for Bottlers Nepal and Terai Television. Before his appointment as CEO, he was serving as assistant general manager for the publications.

He is also the president of Nepalese Marketing Association.

Likewise, Kantipur Television CEO Pachhai earned his master’s degree in management from Sikkim Manipal University in India.
