District Police Office, Tanhun has arrested actor Paul Shah (Purna Bikram Shah) after a 17-year-old singer filed a complaint accusing him of raping her.

Superintendent Rajendra Babu Regmi, chief of the District Police Office, Tanahun, confirmed that Shah was arrested on Sunday. It was not clear whether the actor, 32, turned himself in or police detained him,

“Shah is in our custody,” said Regmi, refusing to provide further details.

On Wednesday, a teenage singer had filed a rape case against Shah at the District Police Office, Tanahu.

The singer in her complaint said that Shah had raped her with a false promise of marriage.

After the complaint was filed, police said they had launched a manhunt to nab the accused. Police said it had issued circulars to all police units across the country to arrest Shah.

On Sunday morning, Shah wrote on social media that he was going to turn himself in to the police.
