Cabinet recommends House meeting at 4pm Sunday

The government on Thursday decided to recommend a meeting of the restored House of Representatives and the National Assembly at 4pm Sunday.
A Cabinet meeting took a decision to this effect on Thursday afternoon, four days after the Supreme Court restored the House, which was dissolved by then KP Sharma Oli government on May 21.
“Today’s Cabinet meeting decided to recommend to the President the summoning of both the houses at 4pm Sunday,” said Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, government’s spokesperson.
The Supreme Court on July 12 had ordered Sher Bahadur Deuba’s appointment as prime minister and restoration of the House. It had also ordered that the House session be called by 5pm Sunday, July 18.
The National Assembly session was ended on Monday by the Oli government.
