Chief Minister of the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath arrived in Janakpur to attend Bibaha Panchami, a special Hindu religious event, on Wednesday. A private plane carrying the team of Yogi landed in Janakpur. Federal Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari and Province 2 Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut welcomed Adityanath in the historic town.
CM Yogi, who went straight to Janaki temple from the airport, offered Pooja and circumambulated the temple. After offering his worship, Yogi went to attened a lunch reception hosted by Province 2 government.

Province 2 CM Lalbabu and Yogi are scheduled to address a programme at Barhabigha, Rangabhumi ground at 2 pm. Yogi is scheduled to return at 4 pm today.
A special programme is organised in Janakpur every year on the occasion of Bibaha Panchami to commemorate the wedding ceremony of Hindu Goddess Sita, the daughter of King Janak, with Lord Ram, son of Ayodhya’s King Dashrath.
Yogi is leading a wedding procession from Ayodhya to Janakpur. His plane flew to Janakpur from Lakhnau. In view of Adityanath’s visit, security has been strengthened in Janakpur with around 4,000 security personnel deployed in the area.
