Defence Minister Ishwor Pokharel and Chief Minister (CM) of Province 2 Mohammad Lal Babu Raut welcomed the visiting Indian Prime Minister.
During his Nepal visit, Modi, in Janakpur, will offer special worship at the Janaki temple followed by a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The Indian PM along with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the Ramayan Circuit and Janakpur-Ayodhya bus service.
The government has deployed around 6,000 personnel of different security agencies to manage security in Janakpur.
Janakpur Sub-metropolis will host a civic reception for PM Modi in Rangabhumi Maidan. Modi is scheduled to address the gathering after the civic reception.
Representatives of various Indian media have arrived in Janakpur to cover Modi’s visit. A television crew came here with OB-van for live broadcast. The special team of Doordarshan, the government operated television in India, also arrived in Janakpur.
