The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday issued an interim order against government’s decision to shift the district headquarters of East Rukum district from Rukumkot to Golkhara in Puthauttarganga Rural Municipality-12.
Responding to a writ field by Advocate Ganesh Hamal, a single bench of Justice Deepak Karki issued an interim order not to implement the government decision.
The residents of Rukumkot in East Rukum have been protesting against the government decision, blocking the road networks and picketing the government offices for weeks.
