Two persons were drowned in Bakraha and Nunsari Rivers in Morang.
Police identified the deceased as Gangaram Khatiwada, 32, of Miklajung and Min Bahadur Thapa of Kerabari Rural Municipality-9.
Likewise, six persons died after being swept away by the Budhi Khola at Gaurigaun in Sunsari.
According to Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, Maya Rai’s eight-year-old daughter Rupasani Rai, three-year-old son Rupesh Rai of Bhojpur, currently residing in Itahari, Ishwor Sunuwar, 40, of Aitabare, Mala Sah, 30, of Gaurigaun, her 10-year-old son CT Sah and a man of Tarhara of Itahari were killed in the incident.
Entire Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City has been inundated after the flooded Budhi Khola and Tegraha Khola entered into the human settlements.
Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel are trying to shift the flood-affected locals to the safer places.

Cattle of many families have drowned, locals said.
Paddy planted in hundreds of hectors of land has been destroyed owing to the floods.
More than 400 houses have been inundated after the flooded Budhi Khola entered into the human settlements in Bauraha Tole of Budhi Ganga Rural Municipality-2, Morang.
Similarly, dozens of houses have been submerged after the Bakraha Nunsari Khola gushed into Majhi Tole in Urlabari Municipality-8.
Incessant rainfall for the past two days has inundated ward 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12 of Biratnagar Metropolitan City.
Police are trying to shift around 600 families to the safer places.
