NC, Maoist Centre forge electoral alliance in Makwanpur

In Hetauda Sub Metropolis, Maoist Centre has agreed to support NC’s mayoral candidate Ananda Parajuli while NC will support Maoist Centre’s deputy mayoral candidate Balram Bal, according to NC former district President Raghu Raman Neupane.
Similarly, Maoist Centre’s mayor candidate Lavasher Bista will get full support from NC in Thaha Municipality while NC’s deputy mayor candidate Khadga Gopali will be supported by the Maoist Centre.
With the electoral alliance, Maoist Centre’s mayor candidate Kumari Moktan and NC’s deputy mayor candidate Laxmi Shrestha have withdrawn their nominations from Hetauda Sub Metropolis.
Also, in Thaha Municiaplity, NC’s mayoral candidate Pabitra Bista Mahat and Maoist Centre’s deputy mayor candidate Shakuntala Gopali have withdrawn their nominations, according to Election Commission’s office.
In Hetauda Sub Metropolis, three mayor aspirants have withdrawn their names. There are now 15 people competing for the mayor post. While in Thaha Municipality three mayoral candidates have withdrawn their names.
Five people are vying for the mayor post in this municipality.
