Sixteen cameras installed for tiger census inside the Bardiya National Park (BNP) have been stolen. Ramesh Kumar Thapa, officiating conservation officer of the BNP, said
that the cameras were stolen from Suryapatuwa and Chatiwan areas. The park authority had installed 200 camera traps to record the number of tigers. Thapa said they were investigating the theft. The BNP had installed the cameras on November 20 for the tiger census that will take place till January 30. (PR)
