Kavre
The BP Highway, obstructed by landslides triggered by heavy rainfall, has been reopened for traffic.
Police Inspector Sunil Dhanju, chief of the Kavre District Traffic Police Office, said the highway was blocked by mudslides at Mamti in ward 11, Pinthali in ward 9, and Biruwadanda in Roshi Rural Municipality.
The blocked sections were cleared through the joint efforts of the traffic police, Nepal Police, and the Department of Roads, restoring two-way traffic by 8:35am on Tuesday.
The traffic police have urged travellers to check road conditions before setting out.
