Patients in Dolpa district headquarters and surrounding villages have been deprived of healthcare services due to lack of health workers in the health facilities for long.
Although there is a provision for 23 positions of health assistants, 48 of Auxiliary Health Workers, 48 of Auxiliary Nursing Midwife and two of doctors, there are only five health assistants, 17 Auxiliary Health Workers, 19 Auxiliary Nursing Midwives and one doctor at 23 health posts in the district.
