An Indian national has been arrested from Hetauda with gold worth Rs 3.3 million.
Police from Ratmate check post arrested Amit Samanta, 26, of West Bedanapur in Kolkata with 711.31 gram of smuggled gold.
DSP Bamdev Gautam said the gold was recovered when police stopped an Indian registered vehicle (WB 430832) for checking.
The arrestee has been sent to Department of Revenue Investigation Office in Pathlaiya for further investigation.
