Police are investigating into a suspected murder-suicide case after a woman, 76, and her son, 43, were found dead at Serna VDC-9 in Okhaldhunga. The bodies of Dhan Maya Bhujel and her son Tej Bahadur were discovered by their neighbours on Wednesday evening. 

Dhan Maya’s body was found hanging at her home while Tej Bahadur’s body was found hanging from a tree outside. Police suspect that Tej Bahadur may have murdered Dhan Maya before taking his own life. The neighbours said the mother and son often fought because of latter’s drinking habit. The bodies have been sent to the district headquarters for postmortem.
