At least 19 people have been injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Jamune-4, Gunadi in the district along the Prithivi Highway on Tuesday.

The ill-fated bus, Ga 1 Kha 5473, en route to Pokhara from Bara fell some 10 metres off the road after losing control due to technical glitch in the steering wheel, informed police.

Among the injured, passengers with serious injuries have been sent to Pokhara for further medical treatment while others are receiving medical attention at Ratnahari and Byas Hospitals in Damauli.

The police informed that investigation regarding the incident is underway and the driver of the bus has been taken into custody.
