Construction of bridges across the country has been affected by the shortage of fuel and construction materials.

Construction of bridges across the country has been affected by the shortage of fuel and construction materials.
Although the Department of Roads had targeted to complete more than 750 bridges in highways and local roads within the current fiscal year, progress is minimal more than halfway into the fiscal year.
A total of 193 bridges in different highways were scheduled complete this fiscal year along with 575 bridges in different local roads with a budget of Rs1.98 billion.
